The New Moon in Virgo arrives on September 17th 01.00 pm CEST at 24 degrees Virgo. The ruler of the New Moon is Mercury. On the moment the New Moon arrives Mercury is at 17 degrees and 26 minutes in Libra. At that moment Jupiter is at 17 degrees and 26 minutes in Capricorn. Mercury exactly squares Jupiter on the moment of the New Moon. This makes this New Moon a threshold. Into what, you might ask?Continue
Yaasss this is a gorgeous New Moon! There are no hard aspects to this New Moon. We haven’t had a New Moon without hard aspects (or eclipses) in a long while. This New Moon is great for intention setting. Especially when it comes to insights that you’ve gained during the month of August. Use the ideas, knowledge, feelings, dreams that might have come to light around the Full Moon earlier this month. Or use the insights that you gained in the days leading up to the New Moon: Mercury passes through the heart of the Sun (trine Mars), only a couple of days before the New Moon arrives, bringing us clarifications and insights.Continue
The second New Moon in Cancer of 2020. It’s rare that a sign gets two New Moons in one year. I think it’s lovely that Cancer get’s two New Moons this year. First of all, the Moon is the ruler of Cancer. She’s at home in this sign. Second, the previous New Moon in Cancer was a Solar eclipse. So it’s nice to also have a regular New Moon in Cancer.
The New Moon arrives on July 20th 7.33 pm CEST and will be at 28 degrees Cancer. Even though it’s a regular New Moon, it’s not necessarily a gentle one. The Moon is opposite of ‘everything 2020 shit in Capricorn’ (read Saturn, Pluto, Jupiter and Pallas Athena retrograde in Capricorn). The New Moon is also squared by sign by Mars in Aries. Which means the Goddess has some cosmic energies to digest.Continue
On June 20th the Sun moves into Cancer and hours later the Moon conjuncts the Sun. In other words, the New Moon takes place Mid-Summer. This is not just a New Moon, it’s an eclipse. An annular Solar eclipse. With an annular Solar eclipse the shadow of the Moon almost completely covers the Sun, only leaving an outer ring of fire. The word annular comes from the Latin word annulus meaning ring. Annular eclipses are strong!Continue
Last week Venus stationed retrograde. Saturn stationed retrograde. Jupiter stationed retrograde. The asteroid Pallas also stationed retrograde. Mars moved into Pisces. Mercury is in Gemini. In other words: a lot of noteworthy transits last week! I wrote about them in the last ‘Moon article and forecast’ (read here). The most noticeable thing about these transits is that with Mars and Mercury moving from fixed signs into mutable signs, we find there is movement now where certain things were stuck. Communication has gotten a boost. There is also more space for actions being driven by instinct and passion. On the other hand: the areas in life that Saturn, Jupiter and Venus rule are slowed down now and ask for introspection. Reflection on relationships, love and connections (Venus), life philosophy and healing practices (Jupiter) and duties, responsibilities and karma (Saturn).Continue
Conjunct Uranus, on Thursday the 23rd 04.25 am CEST there is the New Moon in Taurus (for some it will be on Wednesday the 22nd, depending on where you are on Earth). This for sure is an interesting New Moon. Uranus is the big revolutionary. The planet of upheavels and change. Taurus is a fixed earth sign. She is known for her stability. She is known to be grounded. She knows what she wants and what she likes. When the bull has made up her mind, she sticks with it.
Apart from the heavy astrology we have had so far in 2020 (Lunar eclipse on the Cancer – Capricorn axis, Saturn x Pluto conjunction in Capricorn, Mercury retrograde, Mars in Capricorn) and the heavy astrology that is about to come (Saturn x Mars conjunction very soon and the fact that in the month of May Saturn, Jupiter and Venus station retrograde, and more heavy stuff coming later in 2020), luckily there is also good stuff! In my previous article I wrote all about the astrology on the current pandemic. The crisis hits u all. We are forced into something. There is a restructuring going on and we are just at the start of it. However, that doesn’t mean it’s all bad. It’s not all bad and war and sorrow up in the heavens above. It’s not all bad and war and sorrow on earth below. So let’s focus on that. Let’s make use of what’s here to serve us! I want to shine light on the positive in this piece of writing.Continue
About every month, more exactly every Lunar cycle, I will give you some insight in what’s happening in the heavens above. What can we expect in general? And how can we work with it? Before I start with the upcoming Lunar cycle I will give you a quick recap of the last few weeks, because this is the first article in this series, so we will have a starting point.Continue
