Hi my dear valentine,
Two years ago I started my business. In those two years 1500 people started following me on Instagram. I’ve welcomed clients into my practice, from all over the world. I want to thank you so so so much!!!
Without you, my business would not have continued to exist. It is because of you that I’m now working on a new website, together with a designer. It’s because of you that I’m hiring a photographer to be able to share professional photos of me on my new website. It’s because of you that I’m also working on a new newsletter concept, together with the person that is creating my new website.
My business is still small. But it is growing. And it’s growing because of you! Because you book consultations with me. And I experience so much joy and love in working with you! Thank you!
Last summer I needed to take a break because of moving houses. That break ended up lasting several months. And when I was ready to come back, you were waiting. I was afraid that I wouldn’t have clients anymore. But the bookings are coming in. I’m delighted!
One of the things that I love to do with my business, is to inspire you. And in return, you’ve touched and inspired me (with your life stories in the sessions that you booked with me, and through your messages too).
Most of you have found me through Instagram. Probably 99% of you. Most of you continue to stay in the loop via Instagram. But… What if my Instagram account gets hacked? How will you and I find our way back to each other? It’s a question that has been on my mind, lately. I also continue to grow a dislike of Instagram. I used to love that social media platform for the creative hub that it provided, enabling me to discover and connect with artists, small business owners, yoga practitioners all over the world, fellow astrologers, etcetera. But Instagram has become a platform for big brands to spread their advertisements. When I scroll through my Instagram feed these days, I see a minimal amount of art and inspiration. Instead I see a huge amount of garbage (advertisements). I’m not happy that my business depends on Instagram so much. I’m not planning to quit using Instagram any day soon, but I would like to be less depended on it. I would like to have another way to stay connected with you.
The answer: my newsletter! And my newsletter content is going to get a major upgrade! When my new website goes live (probably in March), I will commit to a weekly newsletter that goes out every Sunday / Monday. It will have unique content, like weekly mini horoscopes, but also non-astrology inspiration, that I will not share on my website or Instagram. So you have every reason to sign up for it! Because it will contain content that you will not find elsewhere.
