In the midst of an intense battle between the malefics Mars and Saturn, there’s an interesting Full Moon that has the capability to provide us with insights and even spiritual ecstasy. For that to happen, we will need to slow down in order to not only deeply feel, but also communicate that what stirs up our emotional waters. This Full Moon isn’t necessarily a comfortable one, but has the potential to bring transformation and transcendence.Continue
Yesterday I shared a post of someone in my Instagram stories and the post mentioned: “A sexually liberated woman is threatening to a patriarchal society.” Someone replied on that story asking me why I think that’s the case. Honestly, I shared that post in a whim. In a whim with full agreement and thus conscious of the meaning of the phrase. But also in a whim not thinking someone would respond on it. I didn’t think someone would ask for my clarification. ‘Damn it, now I had to sit down and take the time to give this person my arguments.’ Kidding. It’s actually a topic I like to talk and write about! But at that moment I was writing an article on astrology and self-realisation and I found myself in a flow, so I didn’t like the distraction. At first I replied to this person: I’ll get back to you later. I returned to writing my article. However, I was still distracted and my thoughts kept returning to his question. I felt the urge to write my answer. But there’s so much to say on this. An answer of three sentences wouldn’t suffice. So, here I am, 30 minutes later, writing another and completely different article providing not just this person but the world wide web with my thoughts on patriarchy, sexuality and WAP. WAP stands for ‘wet-ass pussy’ and is the title of the new song of Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion (click here for the video).
The timing of the question on sexuality and patriarchy combined with the recent release of WAP couldn’t be any better. Because: Virgo season is about to start. The zodiac sign that is known for cleanliness, purity and virginity is about to be given rulership for the next few weeks. What better moment to write about two women rapping about rough sex? Even more so: astrology doesn’t serve a purpose if it doesn’t serve the greater good! Here is one of my attempts at serving the greater good and doing my part in the battle against patriarchy.Continue
Yaasss this is a gorgeous New Moon! There are no hard aspects to this New Moon. We haven’t had a New Moon without hard aspects (or eclipses) in a long while. This New Moon is great for intention setting. Especially when it comes to insights that you’ve gained during the month of August. Use the ideas, knowledge, feelings, dreams that might have come to light around the Full Moon earlier this month. Or use the insights that you gained in the days leading up to the New Moon: Mercury passes through the heart of the Sun (trine Mars), only a couple of days before the New Moon arrives, bringing us clarifications and insights.Continue
The Full Moon arrives on August 3rd at 05.59 pm CEST at 11 degrees Aquarius. The Sun is at home in the warmth of Leo. The Full Moon will be opposite of the Sun in the cold of Aquarius. Leo and Aquarius are two sides of the same coin. Both are strong individuals, in their very own ways.
Leo is expressive and charismatic. The Lion roars and performs. Leo likes to be adored and acknowledged for the power and the beauty that Leo possesses. The Lion puts himself in the center and is the leader in the savannah. Leo is ruled by the Sun, the strongest luminary and the star that all planets travel around. Aquarius is ruled by Saturn, the planet that is furthest away (of all planets visible for the naked eyes). While the Lion puts himself on stage and likes to be adored, the Water Bearer couldn’t care less about adoration and puts herself outside the group. Leo is creative, passionate and warm. Aquarius is a revolutionizer, detached and cold. The Water Bearer is the humanitarian of the zodiac; a lover of humans while standing apart from the group. The Water Bearer is the odd one; we recognize the Aquarians in society often by their tattoo’s, funky clothing, unique interests, metaphysical wanderings and/or rebellion and activism. The courage of the Water Bearer is found in daring to stand apart, either by choice or nature. Aquarius doesn’t want to suit the masses. The Water Bearer carries gallons of love and is the one that serves humanity by activism and serving communities and good causes; while at the same time feeling distant from or actively distancing herself from those communities.Continue
The second New Moon in Cancer of 2020. It’s rare that a sign gets two New Moons in one year. I think it’s lovely that Cancer get’s two New Moons this year. First of all, the Moon is the ruler of Cancer. She’s at home in this sign. Second, the previous New Moon in Cancer was a Solar eclipse. So it’s nice to also have a regular New Moon in Cancer.
The New Moon arrives on July 20th 7.33 pm CEST and will be at 28 degrees Cancer. Even though it’s a regular New Moon, it’s not necessarily a gentle one. The Moon is opposite of ‘everything 2020 shit in Capricorn’ (read Saturn, Pluto, Jupiter and Pallas Athena retrograde in Capricorn). The New Moon is also squared by sign by Mars in Aries. Which means the Goddess has some cosmic energies to digest.Continue
Sweethearts! Finally the horoscopes for the mutable rising signs are here! Sorry that I’ve kept you waiting for so long. When Mercury stationed direct I finally got some flow in my writing again. Though I’ve also been distracted by hair issues which caused some delays. This lady is going blonde again, which is easier said than done; but I miss my natural colour. When I was younger I used to dye my hair regularly. In the past eight years or so I haven’t. I just kept my natural blonde colour and loved it. But then this April Uranus touched my ascendant while Venus just entered her pre retrograde shadow period and I decided to throw some red dye in my hair. An act of rebellion and empowerment. At that moment I already knew I would regret it. And I do regret now. On the other hand. I want to live an exciting life and thus I rather make mistakes and fail than live a safe and boring life. Ah well I’m talking about hair here, it’s a first world problem! And things change anyway. So will my hair. One day it will be grey. And I will love it. All things change. Which you mutable signs know all too well. Everything in life changes. Nothing stays the same. And life becomes a lot easier when we can go with that flow. The art of letting go, while at the same time daring to ride the waves. The mutable signs have a gift for flexibility that I find inspiring. Of course it depends a lot on other placements in your personal chart whether you identify with that flexibility. But there is a part of you that definitely seeks or brings changes in life. Dear mutable rising signs, here are your horoscopes for the second half of 2020. (The horoscopes for the other signs can be found in the previous two articles.)Continue
The first half of 2020 was certainly interesting, I think for all of us. Apocalypse and all… What to expect for the second half? I wrote down some insights on what’s to come for humankind in general in the article on the last Full Moon (click to read). I also wanted to share horoscopes for the different signs. These horoscopes turned out to be quite large. And I only touch on a few transits. So these horoscopes are still incredibly general (not to mention that I can’t give specifics because that depends on the individual birth chart). Anyway, I share the horoscopes in groups. Here are the horoscopes for those of you with the ascendant in a fixed sign: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius. (You can find the horoscopes for the cardinal rising signs in the previous article. I will publish the horoscopes for the mutable signs soon.)
In the horoscopes for the fixed signs I zoom in on the Uranus in Taurus transit. Which also means that your horoscopes are actually not that much about the second half of 2020 per se; a lot of what you read below holds value for a bigger time period. For some it may resonate a lot, based on the experiences you have had in the past two years. For some it will unfold in the future. Because I’m talking about a transit that lasts from 2018-2026 and you won’t notice its effects everyday over this whole period (luckily). Anyway, this transit is all about breaking free and revolutionising yourself! All the fixed signs have a chance to do that. You guys are actually forced to do it. Breaking free of chains seems exciting huh? Revolutionising yourself sounds awesome. In reality it’s often terrifying. So often we stay in our chains out of fear and sometimes even out of comfort. So often we come to love our chains. Chains can provide stability and safety. But, they won’t let you grow and develop yourself. They hold you back from chasing your dreams, even if you still have no idea what those dreams are. Uranus is trying to break you free from the chains, without your permission. To stand free, open and vulnerable in the world is scary. But goddamn there is so much potential too. Ok, enough introduction. More specifics in the horoscopes.Continue
The astrology of 2020 sucks. It just sucks. We see it reflected in the world: pandemic and other crap. The world is a mess. As above so below. The transits of the luminaries and planets throughout 2020 are not just intense, they are destructive and purge all toxicities out of the repressed unconscious trauma and sadism of humankind. This needs to bring transformation, healing, revolution and growth. But it will take a while until we get there. Throughout 2020 we get to face our global karma. In 2021 the healing starts. As I’ve repeatedly stated: the malefic planets are strong throughout this year and in conflict with each other, while the benefic planets are either as weak as they can be (Jupiter) or in okay-ish and with moments weakened state (Venus). We don’t just see the crap astrology reflected in what’s happening in the world. It’s also reflected in our personal lives. The way in which the transits in 2020 impact you, however, depends on your personal chart. It’s not that nothing good happens in 2020. It’s just an intense and quite difficult year for the most of us.Continue
