What happened to the love and the values of humanity?
What happened to the love and the fairness and equality?
Instead of spreading love we’re spreading animosity
Lack of understanding leading us away from unity
Where’s the love?
Aquarius season song tip: Where is the Love – The Black Eyed Peas

Aquarius season movie tip: Hors norms (2019)

(The movie itself is 1000times better than the trailer.)
It’s a new thing that I want to do… share music and movie tips that fit the astrology that I’m writing about. I won’t explain every choice of music / film, but some I will.
When I started thinking about an Aquarius song, this song immediately came to mind! Aquarius is the humanitarian of the zodiac. Aquarius is the archetype that has love for all people and especially the outsiders. People with strong Aquarius in their chart are often the ones that vote left, go vegan, march in protests, stand up for outsiders, stand up against patriarchy, dye their hair blue, have tattoos and usually don’t really fit in the crowd. The content and sounds of this song, Where is the Love, is just super Aquarian.
I really wanted to share this song, not just because I loved it back in 2003 when it was released, but also because the lyrics are still so fucking relevant today. Let’s not forget that Black Lives (Still) Matter and that it needs to be repeated until everyone understands it. Let’s not forget that #metoo is still relevant, that women are still faced with not just sexual abuse, but also other forms of oppression and inequality in this patriarchal world. Let’s not forget that most people on this world have limited acces to water, healthy food and healthcare. Let’s not forget that many people fear for their lives, especially in nondemocratic countries, based on political or religious views. Let’s not forget that there’s still much work that needs to be done, to create a better world, by all of us.
The Aquarius vibes of will.i.am
While listening to this song, I started to wonder about the astrology related to this song and I started to geek out a bit… I wondered: what does will.i.am’s chart look like? Because I got this hunch that he would have strong Aquarius in his chart. They way he looks, the music that he makes… It just feels so Aquarius. So I looked for his birth info online and I pulled his chart. And indeed… will.i.am was born with Mars and Mercury together in Aquarius in the third house of writing, words and speech. Mars (fast) conjunct Mercury (communication) in the third house is definitely a very strong rapper’s signature; and Aquarius gives him that unique and different style. His Mars rules over his fifth house of creativity, where his Moon and Venus reside in Aries. Not only does he has prominent 5th house placements, there’s a strong link between the 3rd house (speech / words / writing) and 5th house (art and creativity). When the song ‘Where is the Love’ was released on May 12th 2003, will.i.am had his Mars return in Aquarius and his Venus return in Aries; (almost) to the degrees exact! His natal Mars is at 9 degrees Aquarius and when the song was released Mars was at 11 degrees Aquarius. His natal Venus is at 24 degrees Aries and when the song was released Venus was at 24 degrees Aquarius. At the moment of the release of ‘Where is the Love’, will.i.am entered a new Venus cycle and a new Mars cycle and his career took off. Astrology is fucking cool, isn’t it? You can’t make this up. Will.i.am’s career was written in the stars.
The New Moon in Aquarius
Ok, enough about The Black Eyed Peas and will.i.am and Mars – Mercury conjunctions and such. What about this upcoming New Moon? The New Moon arrives on February 1st 12.46 am ET / 6.46 am CET at 12 degrees Aquarius. This New Moon is under the ruling of Saturn, because Saturn is the ruler of Aquarius. Saturn is at 15 degrees Aquarius, only 3 degrees away from the New Moon, and thus in a pretty close conjunction with the New Moon. This makes this a very Saturnian New Moon and also quite powerful. If you have natal placements near these degrees in Aquarius, take note; this New Moon will be an important one for you. Uranus is at 10 degrees Taurus, which means that this New Moon is in an intense square with Uranus, which means that this New Moon may come with some unexpected insights or events for some people, especially those with personal placements in between 10 – 16 degrees Aquarius.
There’s also quite a lot happening in the sign Capricorn on the day of the New Moon; Mars is at 5 degrees Capricorn, Venus is at 11 degrees Capricorn conjunct Vesta at 11 degrees Capricorn (and Venus just stationed direct), Mercury is retrograde at 24 degrees Capricorn (and stations direct soon) conjunct Pluto at 26 degrees Capricorn. There’s been a lot happening in Capricorn during the past month, January. And there’s still plenty of stuff going on in Capricorn in February. Saturn also rules over Capricorn. Saturn rules over two signs, Capricorn and Aquarius. This means that Saturn has a lot to say in the current astrology. Saturn has something to say about the New Moon, and also over Mars, Venus and Mercury.
In other words, the current astrology is very Saturnian. The emotional weather might feel quite heavy under these strong Saturnian vibes. Saturn isn’t a happy planet, he doesn’t bring rainbows and hugs. This isn’t the best New Moon to host a sleepover, an lsd party or go bubble bathing (wait for Pisces season to do all that). What then, is this New Moon good for? Saturn wants us to stay grounded in reality. Saturn helps us to make plans, to work hard, to create structures and set boundaries. Thus, this New Moon in Aquarius is a good one to take an honest look at the topics related to the house that Aquarius is on in your chart. What’s working well in that house and what not so much? What new commitments can you make related to those house topics? What new healthy routines can you establish related, to those house topics? What structures can you put in place, related to those house topics? (And if you want to take it a stept further: how can all of that benefit the house that Capricorn is on in your chart?) These horoscopes may provide you some inspiration in answering these questions…
Written with love, as always, xxx Maud

Aries
Dear Aries. In the past month you’ve been focused on your public life, your (future) career and/or the work that you want to be known for. Reviewing your goals. Reflecting on your ambitions. Making adjustments in your approaches. Getting clear on the legacy that you want to leave behind. What are the offerings that you want to make to the collective? What contributions do you want to make to this world? With this New Moon, part of your focus shifts from your LinkedIn profile to the accounts in your network. Who are ‘your’ people? This New Moon takes place in the part of your chart that is about your network, your friendships, the people that have your back, the groups you’re part of, the students that you teach, the audiences that your perform for. You’re part of a greater whole, and you’re probably very aware of it these days. This New Moon is ruled by the lord of karma aka Saturn. People don’t always get what they deserve. But this New Moon does fall under the ruling of Saturn; so ‘equal give and take’ is a law that somewhat applies to this New Moon. Equal give and take in relationships. This New Moon is about what you give Aries. ‘You reap what you sow’; another Saturnian expression. That might not always be exactly the case. But… if you sow some good seeds now, you may receive some good fruits in six months under the Full Moon in Aquarius. If you sow some bad seeds now; the fruits that you’ll pick may be rotten… The offerings that you make to the collective; whether that means your friends, your network, your students, your city, the like, it will probably pay you back in future times. Dear Aries, invest in the people that are important to you, that you hold dear. Have fun with your friends, march in protests with your neighbours. The more you strengthen your networks, the more they will support you when you need to rely on them in future times. Which at some time you’ll need to do. I’m not saying that to scare you. It’s just a fact, we humans don’t live in a vacuum. We need other people as much as we need oxygen, no matter how independent our lifestyle is. We’re social beings and that’s a fact (even for you dear Aries).
Taurus
Dear Taurus. You’ve been on quite the journey in recent years; re-envisioning your future, trying to be true to yourself while carrying responsibility, searching for freedom within structures, wanting to build a career that serves you and wanting to build a career in which you can serve the collective. A legacy isn’t build in one day. You’re probably not yet where you want to be, and that’s totally okay. Because that doesn’t mean you won’t get there. Saturn rewards hard work, so if you keep going at it, you may get there eventually. What have you managed to build in the past year? What structures have you set in place in 2021, that you can build on in 2022? Take a good look at those structures. If there are certain changes or upgrades, to these structures, that you want to make; now is the time to start. Maybe you’ve already started editing and reviewing your resume, website or the like in the past month. Maybe you picked up new or old studies in support of your career, this past month. January and February are all about your future dreams, longterm plans, studies and career. Rome wasn’t build in one day. Slow and steady wins the race, especially when you’re a Taurus. But work needs to be done, dreams don’t become reality if you keep on sleeping and dreaming. Saturn is here to help you to make your dreams reality, but he demands effort and discipline. Take note of your dreams and visions that you receive late January early February. You might want to turn them into reality or at the very least they probably will have vital information; so keep pen and paper on your night stand. Since your ruler Venus is now rising as a morning star, you may feel especially creative or inspired, reborn or passionate about your desires, needs and/or boundaries in love and relationships. Dare to be vocal. Share your creative works on Instagram, share your desires and boundaries with your lover, share your resume on LinkedIn. Whatever it may be about for you, the astrology is supporting you to ‘show yourself’ in an authentic way, which may be in love and/or career. Dear Taurus, if there’s ever a year to be true to yourself, it’s this year, 2022. If you remain true to yourself and if you put in the work, 2022 may turn out to be a year of immense personal and spiritual, and maybe even professional, growth.
Gemini
Dear Gemini. In the past month and a half you’ve been reviewing your partnerships, collaborations and more intimate affairs. It has been a time to get honest about your fear of and desire for intimacy. Which partnerships do you want to hold on to, and which ones do you went to let go, as you move into the future? This New Moon in Aquarius is all about setting intentions for the future. What regions of the world do you want to explore? What books do you want to read? What philosophies do you want to understand? What sciences do you want to study? Life is too short to understand each and every breath that we take. However, we can enrich our lives so much if we pick and choose carefully what we want to learn about, what we want to explore. Spend your time wisely. A Gemini usually has many interests. Gemini loves to study, learn and explore. Sometimes there’s the risk that one takes up so many hobbies; that one learns about many things superficially but one doesn’t explore anything in depth. Saturn helps use to explore things in depth. This New Moon conjunct Saturn may help you in choosing your next destination. Pick carefully and deliberately, and Saturn will help you to travel far. Dear Gemini, may this New Moon mark the beginning of a new chapter of adventures and pilgrimages that will enrich your life.
Cancer
Dear Cancer. This New Moon in Aquarius may come with the start of a new work project, business collaboration, partnership agreement or relationship. Or if it isn’t about a new beginning, this New Moon will come with important insights in connection to your collaborations or shared efforts. What talents, gifts, skills and knowledge do you have to offer to the world? How can others enrich your life; with their knowledge, skills or money in return? Where can you help each other out? Where can you find that equal give and take that you’re looking for? Be conscious of the contracts that you sign around this time; read every letter. Be conscious of the intimate relationships that you start or the shared projects or business endeavours that you start. Because whatever you start right now, has the potential to last long. Make sure it’s good and make sure it’s what you want. This Saturnian New Moon is one that blesses equal give and take; be ready to invest and be ready to receive. As this New Moon arrives, much is going on in the part of you chart that is about your most important relationships. There may be beginnings and/or endings when it comes to your important relationships (whether in business, work, friendship or love). A new beginning may force and ending elsewhere, or the other way around. Dear Cancer, I wish you a happy New Moon and I hope it brings you fruitful collaborations.
Leo
Dear Leo. In the past month there’s been an emphasis on reviewing work projects, editing business plans, saying goodbye to colleagues or letting go of something career related. Whatever process of reviewing or ending kept you busy… Out with the old, the new is coming in. February definitely comes with a new start for you. The New Moon in Aquarius falls in the part of your chart that is all about your important relationships, and this New Moon brings that new start. Which may be a new chapter in your career that’s starting, that asks you to invest in relationships with close colleagues or clients. Even if the new start isn’t career related, you’re definitely asked to show up at work with confidence. You may be feeling the pressure to perform and to show your best self. That New Moon new start doesn’t need to be career related, even if there have been changes at work; this new start may be as much about an internal realization on ‘how you want to go about your important relationships’. You may gain insights on the relationships that are most important to you, or relationship patterns that keep repeating themselves. What do you want to change? How do you want to improve your relationships? Either with colleagues, clients, or in your closet friendships or in love. The stars have your back when it comes to your collaborations, and also when it comes to being intimate with another. If there’s a time to collaborate, be intimate, to share; it’s now. Again, for some of you this may be primarily in career related matters, for others in love. Either way, this New Moon asks you with whom you want to share your bed / business. When you put in the effort, when you work on your relationships, you’ll be rewarded. This New Moon actually sort of marks the halfway point in a long chapter of strengthening your important relationships and restructuring the way ‘you do relationships’; because relationships are work, they demand effort. What happened in the past year, 2021, when it comes to your most important relationships? What has been reflected back to you? What has ended? What has begun? And… how do you feel about all of that? If there are any changes, upgrades, or the like, that you want to make; this New Moon is a good time to make a start. This year, until spring 2023, Saturn asks you to be honest and disciplined when it comes to the investments that you make in your relationships (in love and business). Saturn rewards those that do the labor, but he doesn’t grant wishes. Dear Leo, I wish for you that the right people may cross your path and inspiring collaborations may grow during 2022, starting now.
Virgo
Dear Virgo. Creating and maintaining balance is a practice. Balancing work and private time. Balancing healthy routines and non healthy pleasures. There are times for labor and there is also a time for relaxation and fun. In the past month and a half you’ve probably reflected on your relationship with the things that bring you joy in life. And maybe you’ve developed a different relationship with topics like pleasure, romance, sex, art, music and creativity and the like. Whether you’ve come to the realization that you need more orgasms or that you need to cut back on wine; want to join a pottery class or throw away those old ballet shoes… Our loves, hobbies and interests change and develop over time. This New Moon in Aquarius, though, reminds you that there’s also such a thing as work and/or health to focus on. Our daily routines, like work and lifestyle, make it possible for us to also enjoy the finer pleasures in life. Without an income and without health, it’s much harder to partake in Venusian pleasures. This New Moon in Aquarius asks you to think about the topics of work and/or health and especially how they have a durable and sustainable place in you life. What type of labor are you able and willing to do, not just now, but also ten or twenty years from now? What type of lifestyle is sustainable, for you? How do your daily routines shape your future? What efforts do you need to make daily, and are you able to make daily, in order to experience joy not just now but also ten years from now? Dear Virgo, practice makes (almost) perfect. Balance will always ask for practice, it will always remain a verb. Some days we do more work, other days we relax. Not every day needs to be perfectly balanced. But what does balance look like for you over the span of a week, month or year? What does balance mean to you? You don’t have to do it perfectly. Each and everyone of us loses our balance sometimes.
Libra
Dear Libra. This past month to month and a half you’ve probably turned your gaze inward. It might have been a time to reflect on the past; your childhood memories, the relationship with your ancestors, the home you grew up in. It may even have been a time of letting go or grieving, and also of healing and gaining important insights. As we change the relationship to our past, we change the relationship to our future. And thus you’ve probably also reflected on the future home that you want to have (whether psychical and material, or whether in relationship with others). What does home mean to you? What does family mean to you? And how do you build your own? This New Moon in Aquarius marks the beginning of a chapter that is about the joys in your life, especially related to feeling at home or feeling secure, safe and nourished. How do the topics of children, romance and creativity connect to the topics of home, family and security for you? What investments do you want to make when it comes to the topics of children, romance and creativity? What new seeds do you want to plant? What inception would you wish for? Life passes by quickly. It’s so easy to be focused on building a career, making sure the mortgage is paid, etcetera. It’s the joyful things in life though, the things that money can’t buy, that makes life truly worth living for. What brings you joy and pleasure? What warms your heart? Invest in those things, because it will come back to you multiplied. Dear Libra, I wish you a beautiful New Moon.
Scorpio
Dear Scorpio. The New Moon in Aquarius is all about reviewing, renovating and strengthening the foundational structures in your life. Which may be about the private structures in your life that have to do with family and home; coming to certain realizations about family patterns and wanting to change things up, wanting to give birth to new home life structures, or giving the kitchen a make over. But it may be as much about the underlaying structures that bring a foundation to your career; writing a business plan, getting that fund that brings that work project into reality, making sure you feel grounded, rested and secure in order to show up at work with energy and confidence. You’ve been doing some preparation for all of this in the past month. In case you’re doing the foundational work for your career; you’ve probably been doing lot’s of reviewing and editing and maybe even writing and studying in the month of January. In case you’re doing the foundational work for your home / family life, you’ve probably been reviewing your routines or have been adapting to changes in your close environment. You know what they say about high trees; they need strong roots. Aquarius season is all about your personal rhizome, and this New Moon comes with the question: what do we keep, what do we renovate, and what do we add? What do you want your root system, your foundational system, to look like? What do you need in order to flourish in both your private life and your career? What roots can your grow yourself? What foundations can you lay yourself? And… what is the support that you need? Also what is the social support system that you need? Who or what can help you to make you feel grounded, secure and capable? If you’ve done the necessary preparatory work, Aquarius season may bring welcome upgrades to your rhizome. Be clear and wise in who you want to spend time with these days and who you invite into your home to do the reconstructive work with you. There are people who have your back and who want to propel you forward in life. Some people just provide background noise though (which is sometimes nice, at a party or something), but right now you don’t need the distraction because you might not have the time or headspace for it now. Dear Scorpio, keep your head cool, be patient with others, and be clear on your wants, needs, desires and boundaries. I wish you a happy New Moon.
Sagittarius
Dear Sagittarius. This New Moon in Aquarius comes with insights and new starts when it comes to your communications, studies and possibly friends and travels. It may be starting a new course if you’re a teacher. It may be doing something different with your Instagram account if you’re an influencer. It may be restructuring your inbox, starting a column in a newspaper, getting a subscription at the local library. What about your daily life and especially your daily communication / teachings / studies / commutes can be organized better or would you like to restructure? This New Moon may give you the push in a certain direction. It may be a nice shift of focus. In the past month an a half there’s been a major focus on your worth; whether that be net worth or self worth. You had to get honest and clear about your money matters and or about your self esteem. Living in a capitalistic world, we often equate one to the other. The numbers on your bank account don’t have anything to say about your worth, though. The current astrology is quite Saturnian. Saturn isn’t the most happy planet and doesn’t come with great blessings, gifts and rainbows. Saturn is often named the lord of karma. We build good karma by being a good person, through doing good deeds. We either carry value or debt with us after we die, into our next life. Saturn asks us: what do you wan’t to carry with you? Value or debt? We can raise our worth by being a good person. We can raise our sense of self worth, by doing good deeds. But not just that (sometimes we do so much good stuff, but still doubt ourselves) – raising your sense of self worth sometimes takes shadow work, psychotherapy, meditation, yoga, or whatever method or philosophy that works for you. What you’ve come to realize, maybe, is that raising your sense of worth, your self esteem or self love, is actually quite the practice sometimes. It asks for work, dedication and practice. Self love may actually be more of a Saturnian thing than one initially thinks. For most of us, in this capitalist society where people make money off our insecurities, practicing self love takes time and effort. A sense of self worth is build over time. Dear Sagittarius, I hope that you’ve come to realize that you’re worth damn much. May this New Moon in Aquarius help you to show it and communicate it to the world.
Capricorn
Dear Capricorn. The past month and a half have been an internal pilgrimage for you, for sure. You’ve needed to look into the mirror, you’ve needed to turn inward. You’ve looked at your patterns, your coping mechanisms, your identity and sense of self. It’s not easy to take an honest look at oneself. Admitting where we are wrong, where we are insecure, where we fail, where we self sabotage. All that shit…. Damn, it’s an ugly process. But it’s worth so damn much! Because, it’s there, in that process, where we turn the most important pages. Where we decide ‘enough is enough’. Where we decide to better ourselves and better our lives. Where we decide to finally stand up for ourselves and be our own best friend and be our own best lover. Sometimes we need to feel worthless, in order to realize that we’re actually worth fucking everything. Sometimes it’s in the greatest doubt, where we gain the greatest clarity. And here you are… I hope, by now, you realize that you’re worth that fucking everything. I hope that you are not going back to that place of self doubt or self sabotage. The astrology has been hard on people with significant Capricorn placements in these last years, I know you’ve felt it… Dear Capricorn, don’t cut yourself short and don’t settle for less. This New Moon in Aquarius comes with a brand new start when it comes to your worth. It’s about realizing that you’re worth so so so much. It’s about daring to state that, it’s about daring to FEEL that. You are so much. You hold so much. You have so much to give. Anyone that receives from you, should be damn thankful. And they should be willing to give what they take. Dear Capricorn, this New Moon is mainly about investing in yourself. Focus on yourself, not so much on others. Now is the time to invest in yourself. To receive from yourself. I can understand that it may be difficult (sometimes it’s easier to love others than it is to love ourselves) but I really hope that you’ll at least practice it. Practice, practice, practice, and it will become easier. New Moons are often great for making new starts. Thus, if you need the practice: now is a great time to start.
Aquarius
Dear Aquarius. This New Moon takes place in your sign, which means that there’s a brand new start for you. Which sounds exciting and fun! I don’t want to spoil the good news, but new starts aren’t always easy. This new beginning is all about you, yourself, your identity, your wants and needs and the ways in which you show up in relationships. Wow, that’s a lot! The astrology of the past month has been very supportive of taking a close look at yourself. If you’ve done the work (writing in your diary, going to therapy, meditation, the like) you’ve probably discovered the ways in which you sabotage yourself and the ways in which you can take better care of yourself. These insights may prove useful now. This New Moon in very supportive of personal growth, and maybe even growth / a new start in career and/or love. However, it’s a Saturnian New Moon. Which means that the growth and/or new start isn’t gifted to you, it means that you need to do the growing yourself and that you need to work on that new start yourself. Sometimes growing comes with growing pains. As with any Saturn transit, though, if you put in the work, you will be rewarded. Saturn is the planet of karma. Karma isn’t as simple as ‘you reap what you sow’. We all know that life often isn’t that fair. But, fact is, there’s nothing to reap if you don’t sow anything. What seeds have you been planting when it comes to yourself? What have you been doing when it comes to personal growth? In the past year you’ve been working hard on something for yourself. What did your start in Dec 2020 / Jan 2021 / Feb 2021? Where are you now? It may have felt like you were moving forward at times, but then being forced to take two steps back a moment later. Saturnian projects take time, effort, discipline and patience. Where have you been needing to show these qualities? You’ve probably matured a lot in 2021, or you’ve become more responsible or disciplined. This growing process isn’t done. There’s still more growing to do. But you’re sort of at the halfway point. Which means that it’s a good time to review. It’s also a good time to set new intentions for the time ahead. And maybe, this New Moon brings a welcome new start or reboot in that process of personal growth (maybe even in career and/or love too). Dear Aquarius, I wish you a happy New Moon. May your karma be good.
Pisces
Dear Pisces. The past month and a half have probably been quite busy for you, and filled with social interactions. Either with friends, colleagues, or within other work or social related networks that you’re part of. You’ve strengthened your social or career networks and/or friendships. Being a buzzy social bee was probably necessary, sometimes stressful and I hope also fun… With the start of Aquarius season you might have felt the desire to slow down, pause, take a breath and retreat. This may be quite the challenge though. The next few weeks you’ll probably have more social interactions than you desire, either at work or in your private life. You might not be able to retreat as much as you want. However, your networks and friends are there to support you. They are there to have your back, even if it doesn’t always seem like it. In the month of February your community and friends will push you forward and they will help you to keep going, with whatever needs to be done. There may sometimes be social friction and irritation, but there’s also love between you and your people. It’s a practice of balance, in the upcoming month, to have both private time and social time. Savour the moments of alone time and quiet time that you have. Use them for meditation, dreamwork or whatever that helps you to connect with yourself. Make sure that you will have a moment to yourself on the day of the New Moon (February 1st), and make sure to disconnect from the world, pause and catch a breath (even if it’s for just five minutes). There will probably be more time for rest, retreat, recovery and relaxation in March. March and April are months to look forward too for most Pisces risings.
