Aries
This New Moon is here to help you move forward. This New Moon is here to support you in actively engaging with the world and expressing yourself. To give voice to whatever that wants to be expressed. Whether it’s through official emails, PowerPoints or love notes on paper. You’re meant to be heard. You’re allowed to take up space. Your opinions matter. Your words add to this world.
Communications are at an all time high. Whether it’s friends, colleagues, students, neighbours or siblings that are texting and calling you; you’re able to answer the questions and stay in touch. Answering letters like it’s nobody’s business.
I’m not a big fan of New Year’s resolutions. But this New Moon is like the start of your New Year and it’s a good time to make a bucket list or list of intentions. Keep them real. Keep them honest. Be kind to yourself; don’t set your self-demands too high (because we’re living in a pandemic world run by capitalism, life is challenging enough as it is). But honestly, this New Moon is here to cheer you on: go go go for it! For whatever that’s on that list of yours.
Taurus
Whatever that kept you awake during a big part of 2020, has been asking for your attention again lately. Old pains receiving light from the Sun. Warmth heals. Those hidden anxieties receiving care from Venus. Sushing nightmares away, making space for dreams.
You’re cleaning up your thoughts of self-undoing. It’s a process. A back and forth. Some days you overcome. Some days you’re thrown back into the abyss. There’s no hurry. You’re on track. You’re cleaning up the darkness in the subconscious. It’s hard work. It will pay off.
Give your dreams space. Allow them to come forth. Whatever you’ve been working on in secret, in your mind, in the night, in your silent office… it wants to be born. It wants to make itself known in the world.
Such things take time. You’ve got years my dear. There’s no hurry. Just like humans, everything that get’s born needs time to grow. So do your projects. So does the new you.
This New Moon helps to speed up the process a little bit though. This New Moon helps to let go of old dreams and nightmares that no longer fit you. This New Moon helps to get honest with the dreams that do. Especially those that have to do with how you want to make a living and how you want to make use of the talents / knowledge that you have. Don’t be afraid of your gifts. The gifts that you can offer to this world.
Gemini
The New Moon brings the start of a new cycle when it comes to your alliances, community efforts, group work and / or friends. A healthy reconstruction is taking place. Usually, Aries season comes with plenty of social interaction for you. This year, Venus combust the Sun makes these interactions more quiet and intimate. Drinking tea with one friend on an afternoon instead of drinking beer in a club with a whole bunch. That’s not so strange, given the pandemic. But it’s not just because of the pandemic, that your social life isn’t as abundant as it usually is during Aries season. In March you had to spend your mental capacity mainly on your path in life and/or career. Since a few days you’re starting to feel like there’s some more space opening up for your social life.
You’re learning to assert yourself. You’re also learning that there are different ways of asserting yourself. How you communicate your needs and boundaries makes a whole difference in how your words will be received. You’re learning that the health of not just you, but also the health of your social life, depends on honest communication.
Spring season is a lot about balancing the need to be alone and the need to socialize. Both are basic human needs. Sometimes you need to be a bit more alone. Sometimes you crave talks and hugs. Needs fluctuate. That’s okay. You’re allowed to honor both.
Cancer
The past year, 2020, must have cost you much energy. Your (working) life underwent some ups and downs; you probably were presented with challenges in your career and/or public life or you were struggling to figure out which direction to steer your life at. Or maybe you faced a burnout.
Now that things have calmed down a bit and/or are starting to make a bit more sense, you’re regaining some energy. New year, Spring time, fresh starts. This New Moon is a good one to plant new seeds for your career and in general the direction that you want to go with your life. If you want to make new starts when it comes to your future, this New Moon comes with a healthy dose of courage to do so.
Let your dreams inspire you. When you quiet all anxious and critical voices (those of society and your inner critic)… what do you want to do? What are the yearnings of your soul? Take your dreams and longings seriously. Their voices are more quiet than those of your rational mind or those of society, but they are not worth less. I want to argue that they are in fact worth more.
This is a time for you to give that voice in the subconscious a stage, so it may be heard and seen. Let the words of your heart inspire you. This is a time for you to take action. It’s a beautiful New Moon to take the first steps into the future that you long for and / or the career that you want.
Leo
Last year your future plans underwent some type of deconstruction. Letting go of something that you love or desire, letting go of something that adds meaning to your world, isn’t easy. These past few weeks have been about giving warmth to that process of deconstruction and about reconstructing a new meaningful relationship with that part of your life. Finding new purpose. Planting new seeds for the future. Realizing that there are more exciting journeys, people, projects in the world than just that one that you needed to let go.
Meaning is something that we actively give. Meaning is something that we create. Meaning isn’t just given to us. It’s our job in life, it’s our responsibility, to actively create meaning. Meaning is a verb. It’s a practice. Like learning how to walk. We fall and then we get up again. Over and over again. Until, one day, you can walk. Until, one day, you’ll run. And even when you can run, you will fall sometimes. Which is totally okay.
Take comfort in the idea that often, what isn’t meant for us, is taken away to create space for something that is. 2020 took some stuff away. Now you’ve some space for new meaningful things in your life. New people, new projects, new journeys. Slowly but surely you’re getting some clarity on the shape of your new future plans.
Virgo
Late March may have come with some challenge or confusion when it comes to your path in life and / or career. Not really knowing which way is forward or who you could depend upon or work with.
Since April 4th, you’ve started to gain more clarity though, about the partnerships that help you forward in life. You’ve got some contributions to make in this world. Your collaborations and partnerships may support you in doing that.
With this New Moon you may start new collaborations or give a rebirth to old ones. You don’t need to go about life alone. you don’t need to have everything figured out by yourself. You don’t need to have all resources at your disposal. You can ask for other people’s knowledge and insights. You may borrow resources in order to give fuel to your career. You may start a partnership in order to move forward on your journey. You have gifts to share with others in this world, others have gifts to share with you too.
Thus, who do you want to collaborate with? Who do you want to join forces with? Who inspires you? Who fuels your passion? Who gives you courage? Seek them out.
Libra
This New Moon is all about the roads you want to travel and the people you want to travel with. Who’s your partner on your journey? This New Moon marks the start of a new cycle when it comes to your important relationships. It’s also asking you to not just think about the short term commitments… It’s asking you to look over the horizon. Whether it’s about moving to another country, traveling into the future, dreaming about where to go next, or investing in studies, pilgrimages or the like… who’s cheering you on and who dares to go on an adventure with you?
None of us live on abandoned islands. We can’t. We humans are social creatures (even the loners, monks and hermits are). None of us shape our futures just by ourselves. We’re born in interconnected webs of connection and we add our part to them. Who are your creatures? Which threads in the web may loosen a bit. Which do you want to make stronger? With who do you want to sign a contract? With who do you want to build a future? New relationship cycles are starting. New chapters are beginning.
You’ve been busy with adding fire to your projects, the projects that build your future, for a few weeks now. In March this wasn’t an easy task, confusions seemed to block the roads you’re traveling or delay the projects you’re working on. But things have been picking up speed since a few days now. Things are moving fast. Go with it. Trust that the winds will carry you some place good.
Scorpio
This New Moon marks the start of a new cycle when it comes to your work projects and the services that you provide to this world. What do you have to share with this world? What gifts do you bring to the table?
In the past few weeks you might have felt a little lost and confused when it comes to your creative potential and the offerings that you may be able to share with this world. Meeting others a quite is scary thing when we feel unsure about what we bring with us and how the other will receive us. Confusion is making place for some clarity now. You may start to feel more confident. You may start to see that you indeed have gifts to bring to the table; the gifts that are actually needed. You may take your seat. It’s reserved for you.
How do you want to be of service to this world? How do you want to support the wellbeing of the world and her inhabitants? Allow your calling to speak up. Allow yourself to make the offerings that you want to make.
Selfcare isn’t just bubble baths and movie nights. Selfcare is also showing up at work. Selfcare is also dismantling imposter syndrome. Selfcare is also daring to fail in order to give yourself a chance at doing something meaningful. It’s all that frightening and ugly stuff. You’re worth it, to care for yourself.
Sagittarius
This New Moon marks the start of a new cycle when it comes to romance and / or your creative projects. Aries season has put the spotlight on your romantic / creative life. With Venus in detriment and combust the Sun, and the ruler of Aries (Mars) feeling a little lost in your 7th house of relationships, you might have encountered challenges when it comes to the topics of romance and relationships / important partnerships (and possibly the topics of creativity / children). This started to clear up a little from April 4th onward.
With the New Moon in Aries, it’s time to take lessons from the challenges and look forward to the future with new hope. Whether it’s about romantic partnerships or creative projects, a new chapter is starting. Letting go of the old and starting the new.
In case you’re inspired to start a new creative project, this New Moon is cheering you on.
This New Moon has the potential to be supportive in reigniting passion in creative endeavours and romance. This New Moon is supportive in gaining the clarity that was lacking when it comes to your relationships.
This New Moon is supportive in finding that spark again.
In the weeks surrounding this New Moon, you’re also supported in expressing your needs and desires in your partnerships. What brings you joy? What excites you? What fuels your passion? You’re allowed to give voice to your cravings.
Capricorn
The past year brought deconstruction to your roots. Whether it were the building blocks of your life, the family relationships, the ancestral lines… if it wasn’t demolished, it was at least challenged, uprooted, put under the edge of the knife. Deconstruction isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s often not pleasant though. These past few weeks have been about cleaning up the bricks and the dust from the (re)construction site. The dirty dust that’s still taking up space in your life. It needs to go. Let’s throw it away. It’s time to move on. It’s time to start building something new. New blueprints. You don’t need to carry ancestral curses.
We can’t erase our history. And we shouldn’t want to. Stories are meaningful because they have beginnings, plots and endings. Let’s not erase the chapters that are already written. But we can decide where we want to go next. We can decide what home means to us. We can decide what our safe havens look like. We can decide what safe haven we need in order to venture out into the world. Family isn’t depended on blood lines. Families can be chosen.
This New Moon marks a new start for you when it comes to topics that have to do with family, history and / or home.
Aquarius
Matters of romance and creativity underwent some weather changes late March and early April. Sunny days with creative outbursts and romantic diners, made place for cold grey days with no outlet for the creative and sexual juices to flow. Highly frustrating. With Mercury moving into Aries, on April 4th, things started to flow a little better again. An increase of communications, whether it’s business emails or love letters, is asking for your attention. You’ve got lots of things to do, plenty of things to cross from your to do list, and daily rituals to keep yourself busy with. Which helps your inner Mars to direct his energy onto one another or several fertile projects (not just the sexual and creative ones).
This New Moon is a good one to focus on your daily life rituals. It’s the things that we do everyday that shape our future. What future do you want? You can answer that question by dreaming about the next five, ten or twenty years. You can also answer that question by thinking of the type of daily life that you would like to live now. What changes can you make, one by one, in order to shape that life? What ritual can you install today?
The New Moon in Aries is also a good one to focus on your communications and writing projects. Call your sibling, write a letter to your friend or finally answer that email of your boss. Pick up your journal and write down your intentions. Or finally gather the courage to write that love letter anyway.
Pisces
This New Moon pulls your attention to your livelihood and resources. While the second half of 2020 caused you some trouble in this area; money down the drain, broken laptops, and/or self-worth challenges; these past few weeks have done some healing work. Whether you’re starting to get a good view on your financial balance or actually getting some financial luck, the hurt you’ve felt in 2020 is getting some healing.
You might actually receive some financial help from family, generate income by selling a house or land or generate income by working from home. Either way your 2nd house of financial matters and resources and your 4th house of parents, home and ancestry are closely connected these weeks. Though for most of you this connection is positive and might come with financial blessing, for some it may contain challenges, arguments and losses (too). After all, Mars is in the mix; our favourite planet that comes with heat, arguments and sometimes worse. But he can also give things a boost, possibly your bank account.
This New Moon offers you a good moment to not just get real on your finances. This New Moon offers you a good moment to go and stand in front of the mirror and give yourself some compliments. Take an honest look at your knowledge, skills and other assets. You’re worth a damn lot dear Pisces. Probably a lot more than you think, believe me.
