When there’s a New Moon in Aries under the ruling of Mars conjunct Saturn in Aquarius, this is no doubt the song: Ready or Not by the Fugees (listen on YouTube).
This song is so much about making a statement. A statement to the world. Ready or not, here I come. It doesn’t matter if I’m ready, it doesn’t matter if the world is ready for me, here I come anyway. This song is very much about saying that you’re a formidable opponent. You may not be perceived that way by the world, you may be underestimated, but… “here I am!”
Here I am the motto of Aries.
The New Moon takes place in Aries. The New Moon arrives on April 1st 08.24 am CET / 02.24 am ET at 11 degrees Aries. The New Moon is conjunct Chiron at 12 degrees Aries; who in mythology is primarily known for his healing skills; but let’s not forget that Chiron was 1) someone who never gave up, 2) someone with an incredible capacity to endure hardship, and 3) had great warrior skills besides healings skills (Chiron puts a subtle but important stamp on this New Moon).
This New Moon is under the ruling of Mars, because Mars is the ruler of Aries. Mars is in Aquarius and tightly applying to a conjunction with Saturn. Saturn is the ruler of Aquarius. Mars likes to speed, Saturn hits the breaks. Aries is cardinal and wants to initiate, Aquarius is fixed and rather contains. Aries is focused on me, myself and I. Aquarius is focused on the human collective. This Mars is going to be held accountable for his actions by Saturn. The I needs to explain their actions to the group.
New Moons in Aries under the ruling of a free and happy Mars can be rather impulsive and explosive. They can be fun, exciting, adventurous and even without consequences. This one much less so… Be prepared for push and pull; wanting to go after something but feeling held back; doing something impulsive and then receiving punishment; going after a yes but getting a no. The Mars that rules this New Moon is the cheeky kid that needs to go to the principal’s office. The New Moon arrives on April 1st. Mars will enter the principal’s office on April 4th (when the Mars x Saturn conjunction becomes exact); but we can already feel Mars’ dread as he’s walking through the school’s corridors to the office. (I thank the Astrology Podcast for this analogy; it’s perfect and brilliant.)
Does this actually mean that we’re heading towards detention? No, not necessarily. This astrology is all about finding oneself in unfavourable circumstances to achieve something that is important to you. AND going after it and working on it anyway. You may actually convince the principal to not give you that detention. You may even get a certain amount of respect from the principal (I guess that depends on what type of crap you used to pull in high school) and you may actually end up with something that you want and feeling better after leaving the principal’s office (things can turn out in unexpected ways).
Ready or not, here I come
You can’t hide
Gonna find you
And take it slowly
Ready or not, here I come
You can’t hide
Gonna find you
And make you want me
This astrology is all about being a formidable opponent. This astrology is all about not giving up. This astrology is all about making the impossible possible. Even if you may receive a no in this week, continue anyways and you may receive a yes in the future. This astrology is not for quitters. This astrology makes me think of the actors that had five side jobs and went to audition after audition after audition to get a rejection after rejection after rejection; and yet they didn’t give up and now they are famous and making millions. There’s a harshness and unpleasantness when Mars and Saturn meet; this is not an easy cosmic pairing! But, if one can tap into the magic of it… we receive persistence. I’ve seen it in myself and in others who’re born with Mars and Saturn in the same sign; these people tend to be very persistent. These people rarely give up.
Ready or not, here I come; that’s Mars at this moment. Saturn / Aquarius; you better be ready for it, or not. The house in your chart that contains Aquarius, tells you something about the current battlefield of your life. It tells you something about where Mars is heading towards a roadblock, a mounting to climb, a big fat ‘no’ sign to overcome. (Below you’ll find a list of where Aquarius falls in your chart and where Aries falls in your chart based on your rising sign.)
I can’t tell you about the end result though. I can’t tell you if things will work in your favour. What I can tell you is that this astrology calls us to connect with our passions and desires. It’s passion and desire that is fuel for Mars. It’s also passion and desire that makes life so damn interesting. That makes things worthwhile to do! What is worth everything to you? What is it that you would put your hand in fire for? What is it that you would defend with your life?
You may not feel ready for a certain battle… And you can do two things. 1) Fight it anyways and either win or be punched in the face. Or 2) try to save your face and not fight it at all; but you will surely also not win. Personally, I rather fail trying than not try at all… And this Capricorn lady fucking hates failing. But I rather fail, than not climb that mountain. In other words: ready or not, here I come. And how about you?
Aquarius and Aries in your chart, based on your rising sign.
The house that contains Aquarius is the current battlefield of your life; a new cycle is starting here. Note that battlefield sounds heavier than it is; it also very much depends on personal placements whether it really feels like a battlefield or whether there’s just a small hiccup going on. The house that contains Aries is where the New Moon takes place; a new beginning may unfold.
