The Full Moon arrives on March 28th 3.48 pm ET / 8.48 pm CET at 8 degrees Libra. Venus, the ruler of this Full Moon, will be conjunct the Sun at 8 degrees Aries. The conjunction of Venus and the Sun is exact on the 26th of March at 5 degrees Aries, two days before the Full Moon arrives, thus the conjunction is separating with the Full Moon.
Venus conjunct the Sun means that she’s being burned by the Sun. As Venus starts a new cycle, and goes through her rebirthing process, she needs to do so in the sign of her detriment (Aries). Venus in Aries is on unfamiliar grounds. Aries is a fire sign. Venus likes cooler surroundings. Thus, in at least two ways, Aphrodite is being burned. Matters of love and relating might feel challenging at the moment. Venus’s process is, however, one of purification. Every negative comes with a positive. When Venus finishes her journey of purification, and when Venus is in Taurus later this Spring, the Goddess of Love will be and feel reborn.
Look at the house that contains Aries, in your chart, to see where this purification process of Venus is taking place. Venus doesn’t come with too many extravagant blessings in that part of your chart these weeks; but you might get clear on what the real good juicy stuff in that house is, and what’s just fluff. Venus sometimes likes fluff so much, that she gathers too much of it. (I can know, with an exalted Venus conjunct north node as my ruler, I’m a queen in collecting art, clothing and the like. Thus … When is it meaningful? When is it fluff?) This is Venus doing her Spring clean. In other words: get rid of the Venusian fluff in the house in your chart that contains Aries, the astrology is offering you a helping hand.
Thus, all rising signs have a Spring clean going on in the house in the personal chart that contains Aries. But both Taurus and Libra risings, being ruled by Venus, are undergoing a process of detox themselves, on top of that. Taurus risings will definitely feel reborn in a few weeks. Venus is doing her Spring clean in their 12th house of self-sabotaging ways. When Venus enters Taurus, mid April, she will bless Taurus risings with confidence. It’s time for a new you! No more self-sabotaging, no more holding yourself back. Let’s get rid of that stuff. For Libra risings, the purification process is taking place in the house of relationships (which means important platonic, romantic and /or business relationships). Getting real on you and your relationships, it’s what it his about for Libra. If you dare to go through discomfort, you will come out more confident on the other side of your journey through passing the Sun. From mid April onwards, Libra risings will know how to handle/establish the collaborations that are dear to them.
The Full Moon on March 28th reflects Venus’s process. This Full Moon may highlight the challenge we so often may experience in caring for oneself and/versus caring for the other, attending to ourselves and/versus attending to the other, making sure our needs are met and/versus making sure the needs of others are met. Who / what do I place first? What comes second? What choice is on my mind? What are the options or opposites? How can I balance the scales? Honor both? What weighs more? What is equality? What does harmony mean to me? What does balance looks like? Etc.

Peace Restored
The subtitle of this article is ‘peace restored’. Peace restored is the Hermetic name for the Two of Swords, the tarot card related to the first decan of Libra. The first decan of Libra is ruled by the Moon. The Moon and Libra come together in the Two of Swords in tarot. This Full Moon takes place at 8 degrees Libra, in the first decan of Libra.
This is a card that is very much about intuition. About the challenge of quieting the mind in order to connect with the intuition. It demands focus and work to keep the two swords balanced. Meditation is not easy. Balance is possible, peace can be restored, through focus and intuition.
This specific Full Moon makes me think of this card, not just because it takes place in the first decan of Libra. Venus, the ruler of the Full Moon, in a sense, is blindfolded. Venus is combust the Sun, being blinded by the Sun, on the day of the Full Moon. Being blindfolded may scare the shit out of most people. Clear thinking doesn’t happen in panic. However… The blindfold may also help to shut out the external world. It may help to turn within. Whatever blindfold you’re wearing; see if it may help you instead of block you. This Full Moon may be supportive in figuring out how to make that choice, balancing the scales, or working on restoring (inner) peace.
This Full Moon is an invitation to quiet the mind and to turn to intuition. Whatever choice, question or issue that asks for your reflection; turn to your inner voice. Not just this Full Moon in Libra, with her ruler being burned by the Sun, reminds me of the message the Two of Swords had for us. Mercury in Pisces is applying to a conjunction with Neptune; on the moment this article goes online, even more so when the Full Moon arrives and the conjunction will be exact on March 30th. Mercury in Pisces relates to ‘mental soup’, ‘watery brains’ or whatever analogy you can think of that involves liquids and the mind. Mercury in Pisces isn’t gifted in super rational / logical / straightforward thinking, fact sheets and data analysis. Mercury in Pisces is gifted in translating feelings into poetry. This is even more the case as Mercury is meeting with Neptune. Answers are found through feeling the feels and by dreaming the dreams. Over analyzing stuff isn’t supportive right now. Go with the flow, trust the gut, listen to the feelings. Don’t overthink or overanalyze. Quiet the mind. Submerge yourself in water in case you’re looking for clarity. At this moment, there might be more clarity at the bottom of the ocean than in the sky.
Astrology Forecast
March 30th Mercury conjunct Neptune
Mercury conjuncts Neptune on March 30th at 21 degrees Pisces. Mental soup alert. This is not a day to do your administration (note to self). This is not a day for data analysis. This is a day for reading and writing fantasy novels. Mercury in Pisces is in his detriment and fall, and at the moment also not particularly well supported by Jupiter (the ruler of Pisces). Mercury, the messenger, isn’t able go to from A to B in a straight line (while in Pisces). Mercury, at the moment, is lost in a foreign country, without a guide; thus it’s challenging to get from A to B. While Mercury, usually, is killed in traveling faster than any of the gods and goddesses.
Meeting Neptune, the road Mercury travels also becomes covered by mist and clouds. In order to be able to get from A to B, the messenger needs to rely on his internal GPS; because he’s on foreign grounds without a guide and not able to see very well with all the Neptunian mist (Two of Swords scenario popping up again). Don’t get freaked out ‘thinking you’ve lost your way in life or wherever’. Use the mists as an opportunity to turn within. Use the blindfold (Two of Swords) to your advantage.
Mercury conjunct Neptune may bring great mental confusion and illusions. Mercury conjunct Neptune may also bring the messenger to hidden places (the dreamworld, the place of intuition, that treasury of long lost feelings). In these hidden places, we will not find the clarity that expresses itself best in words or in numbers. But we may find another type of clarity, the spiritual kind.
April 4th Mercury enters Aries
Mercury enters Aries on April 4th and will need just a little more than two weeks to find his way through this zodiacal sign. Mercury is moving super fast at the moment. In Aries the messenger of the gods moves not just fast but also in furious style. The nice thing is that Mars, ruler of Aries, is in Gemini. Gemini is ruled by Mercury. This means that there’s mutual reception and that they are connected by sextile. Mars in Gemini is able to help out Mercury in Aries, while Mercury in Aries is able to help out Mars in Gemini. Both Mercurial and Marsan activities will go smoother in the next two weeks, than they have been going in the past three weeks or so.
Mercury in Aries, as mentioned, goes fast and furious. Mercury governs the mind and communication. Mercury in Aries supports us in speaking out, honestly and loud. Not caring too much about other people’s opinions, not thinking everything through before speaking; just saying what you’re thinking and saying what you want to say. People who are born with Mercury in Aries, tend to be ‘brutally’ honest. They also tend to speak with a childlike innocent charm. Children are often brutally honest, there’s not necessarily something wrong with that, In fact, sometimes and maybe even often, it’s something to appreciate.
The New Moon in Aries arrives on April 12th
I’ll be back with an article on the next lunation soon.
